    Outlook 2003 in x64

    Hi,

I have a problem with outlook.
I have installed outlook, but i use an exchange server to collect my mail from.
when i set up the account, it just keeps asking me for my password, even though i know my password is correct.

I'm running Outlook 2003 on X64, pulling mail from Exchange 2003 with no problems.

I am having random freezes when running Outlook 2003 with Exchange. For POP mail, it works completely fine.

I have had that problem too. It is not just on my x64 system though. My laptop does the same thing sometimes. I found that you have to make sure that any other computers you have set up with the same account are not AUTOMATICALLY checking for mail. If you set Outlook up so you have to manually check for mail, or shut down the other PCs, the problem goes away. I don't know if this is what happened to you but it is all I can suggest.

I installed Office 2003 on a system and it worked fine (at least so far) however, I noticed that the Microsoft Document Image writer (in the printer/faxes) is not there.  I know this is a printer driver but does anyone know if it has been re-written for x64 yet?

That happened to me and I reopened the account information window and realized I forgot to check the remember my password box. I am sure you haver did that . Try and reenter the information and test the account before you close it. One time I had a litlle mix up and it resolved it. You probably tried this already.

I've upgraded to Outlook 2007 under x64, and still those annoying freeze ups, which can last for many many minutes. Right clicking on the outlook icon in the task tray and selecting "cancel server operation" sometimes helps, but mostly not.
