    Windows 64 Errors

    Hi, Just found your web site... My question is after I did a fresh install on my new setup ( listed below) i am getting intermit errors: 1) try to right click on my drives, windows explorer shuts down ( screen comes back after a few seconds ) 2) system shuts down and then reboots ( has happened at least 4 times ) 3) "Blue Screen" when trying to launch a program ( screen comes up with error numbers etc and then reboots ) 4) windows wont let me burn DL dvd or even recongise them ( only sees as cd's ). These are the main ones.. I have udated all drivers for MB, Graphic Card, Audio etc... any suggestions or is anyone else seeing this...

    Asus m2n deluxe mb

    amd x2 4400 cpu

    4 gig corsair ddr2 667mhz

    Dual link graphic cards 256 each

    680 PSU

    3 WD 500 gb HD ( satas non-raid )

    It sounds like there is a possible memory issue.  I would do a memory test.  I reccomend using Memtest86+, which you can download here: http://www.memtest.org/.  Download the "Pre-Compiled Bootable ISO" and use a CD Burning program to burn the ISO file onto a disc.   If you're not sure how to do this let me know!

    After the disc is burned, put it into the computer and restart it so it boots off the CD.  It will bring up a blue screen with some information about your memory, and it will automattically begin the test.  Let the test run for a while (you want to at least run through 1 pass, if not a few more; I'd let it run overnight).  After it's finished, post back if it's reported any errors!  If it did report errors, try testing only 1 memory stick at a time to narrow down the problem.

    is this is blue screen or a death screen ?
