Planning my new x64 PC [BYOB64 (3)]

It's about time to put the CPU (AMD Athlon 64 4000+) and Video Card (GeForce 6800GT) which I got at the x64 VIP Launch to good use ;-).  It's going to be pretty hard to top VolkerW's BYOB64 (2), which was basically the best "Build Your Own Box for 64-bit Windows" I've ever seen ;)

Here's the plan:

  • PSU: OCZ ModStream OCZ45012U ATX 450W Power Supply ($87 at Newegg)
  • Case: Cooler Master Centurion 5 Enclosure ($76.50 at Newegg)
  • Processor: AMD Athlon 64 4000+ (Free from x64 VIP Launch)
  • Video Card: GeForce 6800GT (Free from x64 VIP Launch)
  • Motherboard: TBA (Still thinking..)
  • RAM: 2 x 1gb PC3200 DDR (Thank you, IWill :-D)
  • Hard Disk: Maxtor MaXLine III 7B300S0 300GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache Serial ATA Hard Drive ($195.50 at Newegg)
  • Optical Drive: Lite-On Black 16X DVD±R ($54.99 at Newegg)
  • Operating System: Windows XP Professonal x64 "Commemorative Edition" (Free from x64 VIP Launch)
  • Games:
    • Farcry x64 Edition (Free from x64 VIP Launch)
    • Unreal Tournament 2004 x64 Edition (Free from x64 VIP Launch)
    • The Chronicles of Riddick x64 Edition (Free from x64 VIP Launch)
    • Shadow Ops: Red Mercury x64 Edition (Free from x64 VIP Launch)
      • I already beat this game on XBox :-(
    • Half Life 2 Collector Edition PC Game ($59.99 from Newegg)

Newegg.com Total: $492.98

Any comments on my selections?  Should I get other / more stuff?  Remember, I'm on a very limited budget.

Now back to reality. (Incited by my last attempt,) Ryan Hoffman clearly does better. Here's how.
