You have checked out our community portal for HPC, www.windowshpc.net, and have downloaded a few of the samples, maybe the LINPACK code and now what?
Where the heck do I get the bits to try CCS? There are a few option for you. Read 'till the end!
- You can go to Microsoft Connect and register for an HPC download
- You can go to microsoft.com/hpc and find out how you can get your hands on a timebombed version
- You are an MSDN subscriber and have access to the bits via subscriber downloads
Or you can go to www.windowshpc.net, register as a community member and send me your registration name. I still have about 20 Not-For-Resale copies of Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 in my office. The license terms allow you to install the bits on a head node and up to 10 (ten) compute nodes. Of course, you cannot resell the stuff, not use it in production etc. But be it as it may, it is the real thing!
Get your copy of Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 including SP1 today. Supply is limited! The first 20 folks registering on the portal and either send email to me via volker.will(at)microsoft.com or this blog's contact feature will receive a copy.
