Vista’s one cool error UI

I have seen this UI for quite some time. I could not post details of it for awhile due to NDA.



You will receive this screen when something can’t close or exit properly when shutting down Windows Vista. In past Operating Systems like Windows XP, your system might shutdown or stay running and not alert you at all. I think that this is a very cool way to display that something is wrong when shutting down Windows Vista.

If you wish to reproduce this yourself follow these steps.

1. Open a notepad window and don’t save it.
2. Select shutdown.
3. When prompt click save but do not finish saving the file.
4. Wait about 10 seconds.
